Using Progressive Strategy to Win in Blackjack

It is always easy to play blackjack sitting around and wasting money. However, it is most likely to waste money even if you have a superior hand than a poor hand. Prior to playing blackjack, it is always best to come to the game with a strategy in hand. You need to be aggressive with your approach to the game.

One of the most popular attack strategies in blackjack is the progressive approach. In this type of strategy, you modify your bet in every hand. This is not similar to the common progressive methods wherein you will increase your bet every time you lose, because this is not the way to do things. The blackjack progressive strategy works the other way around meaning you have to increase your bet every time you win.

The first thing you need to do is to pick on the numbers as well as the levels of progression you will use. For example, you have set aside $100 as your bankroll. The normal approach is to play $2-$5 hands. In this example, the base is placed at $5.

The strategy is simple. When you lose, your next bet remains at your base. You will never raise your bet with a losing hand. When you have finally nailed that win, you simply double your wager.

Let's say, you chose a five level progression. If you win five consecutive hands, your total winnings will obviously be more than $25. On the other hand, if you lose five consecutive games, your losses are definitely much lower than if you would use the normal progression system.

In the case of a double down, your decision will be determined by the budget you have set for yourself. For example, you scored a win on your initial four hands. You placed a bet of $80 and you have been dealt an 11. Doubling down is not the best call because you are placing your entire bankroll in jeopardy. Once you lose, it's all over. So doubling down is definitely not the right call.

Supposed the situation happens during the latter stages of the game and you already have a considerable bankroll. An additional $80, at this point of the game, would not hurt. Really, it's really on a case-to-case basis.

Whatever battle plan you have, see to it that your bankroll will not be affected by a bet on a single hand. Likewise, keep twice or thrice the amount of your initial bankroll and do not gamble with it. No matter what happens, you can still have some cash to take home.

In the end, having a strategy can give you an assurance of having the best chance to make money in blackjack.
