Hit or Stand on Blackjack Strategy
Learning to play blackjack does not involve difficult understanding of the basic concept how to play the game. It is agreed that blackjack is one of the simplest game to learn among other card games. It has a standard rule that when strictly adhered will guide a player throughout the game and the strategy employed in his play.
The rule of blackjack consist of beating the dealer's card with your own card of higher value as long as the total points of your card does not go beyond 21 points ore else your game is busted. The end result with a busted game is losing. Therefore it is empirical to maintain points that do not go over 21 total points. Every card has its own value points with cards 2-9 with the same value points while the cards 10, jack, queen and king have a corresponding point of 10. The ace card can be used as either point 1 or 11 depending which value would give the player an advantage not to go over 21 points of the total card points. This gives the ace card a significant point of being flexible in value.
After each player has their own card, they are given the choice to stand or to hit. A player will decide to stand when he thinks his card value has a good standing of beating the dealer's card. This means he will no longer ask for another card to add to his present cards. A basic tip to make a stand is when your cards have a total point of 17 or higher. It is extremely important to be wise when deciding to stand. If you think that chances of increasing your card's total points will result to a point that would go beyond the critical point of 21, then it is wise to make a stand. It is suggested to make a stand decision when your card points are 17 and above.
The decision of choosing a hit will completely depend on the total points of your cards. Hitting means you are asking the dealer to issue another card to you to be summed up with the present points of your cards. Your goal is to add some points to your total score to make it a bit higher in order to beat the dealer's point without going beyond 21 points. Most players suggest to make a hit when your card's total point is 11 and below.
Blackjack players do have the notion that being asked between a hit or stand decision is totally easy. But it is in this decision where the outcome of the game completely relies. Making an educated decision between hit and stand can significantly affect the standing points of your card value which will determine whether you beat the dealer, you lose or your game is generally busted.
